Mystery of History Book Summarization

I have learned a lot of things about the book about History. I have learned about the lives of Jonah, Moses, Daniel, Ezra and many more people. I didn't think that there would be so much people in history before Jesus even came to the world.

Moses, for example led the Israelites out of slavery. Then, Jonah was swallowed by a big fish. Then Elijah beat king Jezebel in their battle with fire. After came Daniel who was then thrown into a pit of lions. Next came up Nebuchadnezzar and the hanging gardens which he built to heal his sick wife. The Hanging gardens are one of the 7 wonders of the world. After Nebuchadnezzar came Malachi, the last prophet of the old testament.

Then, the first triumvirate was being held by Pompey, Crassus and Julius Caesar. Then came Cleopatra, the girl who won the hearts of 3 men in history. Julius Caesar, Octavian and Mark Antony. But she later died because she was bitten by a very poisonous snake. After Cleopatra died, John the baptist came. He was on a mission to help people get ready for the coming of Christ.

Then, Finally, the real savior came. He chose all his 12 disciples wisely. His 12 disciples were, Peter, James, John, Andrew, Phillip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James, Simon, Thaddeus and Judas who betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.

Jesus' death was a very sad moment for us. But he did that to save all of the sins of people. But we all know the story that, after Jesus died, he was brought in a tomb for there, he can rest. But he rose up from the dead on the 3rd day. That is what we call Easter. Everyone was so happy when they heard that their savior was alive.

God made so many people in History, I can't count all of them. From the creation to the Resurrection, there were many marvelous people, places and things that God has done. He is truly the most wonderful thing that has ever lived. I hope that many people discover his creations and see that we are very lucky to have a God so powerful and magnificent.

I learned that God can create anything he wanted to. I also learned from the prophets that, we should all spread the word of God so that other people will enjoy his masterpiece.

Unit 4 Summarization

Lesson 1: Being Intimate with God
"Yet some people accepted Him and put their faith into him. So he gave them the right to be children of God" - John 1:12

Being close to God is one thing to also grown your relationship with others. Here are some of the people I want my relationship with to be stronger.

Mama Kathy- She always makes me smile and she helps me with my problems. She also helps me with my studies

Cousins- They always play with me whenever I am bored. They also let me laugh and I can always trust them to keep my secrets

Friends- They always have fun with me like my cousins. Even though they are far away from me, our relationship is still strong.

Like the other people I love, God's relationship with us is very strong.

1.  We are created to have a relationship with God

2. Sin, can separate us from God

3. Jesus died as a substitute to save us.

4. When Jesus died and resurrected, he gave us a relationship with God

I learned that when you have a strong relationship with God, there is nothing that can hurt you because God will protect you.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lesson 2: My friend Jesus
"A friend is always a friend, and relatives are born to share our troubles" - Proverbs 17:17

We all have friends. And everyone of them plays a specific role in your life. Like, your neighbor can be the person whom you share your thoughts with. Or your sibling is the person who always makes you laugh. Here are my friend that play an important role in my life.

1. Erin - We always tell stories about each others past.

2. Bea - We always share food with each other.

3. Rachel - We tell each other our insecurities.

4. Ate Kristine - She always makes me laugh

5. Cousins - They always play with me when I have time and they understand if I can't play with them because I have homework.

Then there is one person who is everyone's friend. That is Jesus.

Jesus is our friend because:

1. We can always tell him about what we feel

2. We can tell him our secrets

3. He always looks after us

4. He protects us from any harm

5. He saved us from our sins

I learned that If you think you don't have a friend, Jesus will always be there for you to comfort you and make you happy. He will also help you find friends.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lesson 3: Walking with Jesus

"Jesus told us that God is Light and doesn't have any darkness in him. Now we are telling you." - 1 John 1:5

Jesus is always with us wherever we walk. He always protects us from evil.

1. I am scared to go in front of the stage. - I need wisdom from God.

2. I feel alone and not loved by my friends. - God will give his unconditional love.

3. I feel lost in my studies and I don't know what to do. - God will give me keen sense of purpose and direction.

4. I feel like a loner when I enter a new school. - God will give his unconditional love.

5. I feel scared to enter a new school because I will lose all my friends. - God will provide me wisdom.

God and Jesus can do anything to save you They are 2 very marvelous and brilliant people in the world.

I learned that Jesus is always with you wherever you are and he will protect you from evil.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lesson 4: Connected to the life source

"I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you stay joined to me, and I stay joined to you, then you will produce lots of fruit. But you cannot do anything without me." - John 15:5

Jesus the vine, is our life support.

Jesus is our savior. And without him, we will have sins for the rest of our lives. Always have Jesus with you and he will protect you from any harm.

Our connection to the vine allows us to bear fruit.

With Jesus we can always trust him to take care of us. But we also need to take care of our branches. The branches, with Jesus, the vine, your attitudes will change and become good attitudes. These good attitudes are called, fruits.

We are under the gardener's care.

If Jesus is the vine and we are the branches, God is the gardener. Jesus and I become a pair that produces fruit that then, the gardener takes. To bear fruit, you go through tough times in your life. This is God's doing. He makes you go through tough times so you can produce more fruit.

We are expected to remain in the vine.

We are always connected to the vine. We need him to go through the tough times in our life. If let go of the vine, it still lives, but we die. God gave his only son to us so that we can have eternal life, and that when you die you will still live. But for you to have eternal life, you must always remain in the vine. Remaining in him is to always follow him. He also gives you strength to hold on and remain in him.

I learned that you should always have Jesus and God with you so that you can go up to heaven and have eternal life.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lesson 5: Developing Godly habits

"Do your best to improve your faith. You can do this by adding goodness, understanding, self control, patience, devotion to God, concern for others and love." - 2 Peter 1:5-7

Understanding Habits:

Habits are behaviors that, when done over and over again, you become used to it. How we talk and act are some of the behaviors that we have done. Also, when you are growing up, we also need to grow godly habits.

Habit starts from a DESIRE.

Habit start when you do something frequently. You also need to have the desire to do those habits. For example if you like exercising, you might start the habit of waking up early and going for a jog.

Habit is slowly formed by DISCIPLINE.

When you practice your habit, you can grow better at it. The word Discipline comes from the word, Disciple. This is the same word that is used to refer to the disciples of Jesus.

Habit becomes a pleasure or DELIGHT.

When you finally form your habit, you will begin to like what you are doing. This is how Godly habits form. They build up until you like those Godly habits. Like reading the bible everyday, praying to God and going to church. Godly habits are, also, things that God makes you do to become more close to him and Jesus.

I learned that, I need to be careful of what I'm doing because if I do a bad thing every time, it will become a habit. I need to be careful of what I'm doing so that I won't be in trouble.

Lesson 6: Knowing God through the Bible

"Help me to understand Your teachings, and I will think about your marvelous deeds." - Psalm 119:27

The word of God tells who God is:

The Bible shows all the marvelous things that God did. When you read it, you know God more.

The Word of God tells you what He has done:

It tells you all the things that God has done way back in time. From the creation to the Resurrection, God has done so many marvelous deeds, you need to read the bible, itself to understand all of those deeds.

The word of God tells what he wants:

As you read the Bible, you must understand what God wants. Even though it does not give a clear image of what God wants, it gives you specific thoughts about it.

The Word of God is where the promises of God are written:

The Bible gives you a list of the promises of God are written. When you read the bible, you can apply some things that you learned in your daily life. This is also the way that God talks to you, showing you the things that he did.

The word of God is a covenant between Him and his people.

Covenant means, an agreement between 2 groups or people. The bible is the covenant between God and his people. He promised to fulfill all the promises written inside of the bible.

The Word of God gives specific directions to very important issues.

The bible does not have all information, it has some information in which you can use to make the right decision. When making decisions in life, make sure you look in the bible before you make your decisions, so that you don't make mistakes.

The word of God gives principles that can be applied to day-to-day life

The Bible is here to help you make decisions. The Bible also tells you how to live your life in the Godly way. God speaks to you through the bible and guides you through your life.

The Word of God is your road map to success:

The Bible has many different things on how to be successful in life. While the world puts you down, the Bible is helping you to get back up. It is one of the marvelous things God has shared with us
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lesson 7: Talking to God in prayer

"Ask me, an I will tell you the things that you don't know and can't find out." - Jeremiah 33:3

How important prayer is:

1. Prayer is a habit of God's people.

We need to pray always to know God more.

2. Prayer is Communing with God

Prayer is how you say "YES" to God so that people with talk to him. This means that God wants us to pray to him everyday. It is also the way to access his heavenly resources.

3. Prayer is expressing your dependence on God.

Prayer is also how you show God that you trust him in controlling you. When praying, you say to god that You cannot live without him.

4. Prayer demonstrates your faith in God

When you pray you put your faith in God that he will answer you prayers. If you pray sincerely, he will sometimes answer your prayers.

5. Prayer helps you experience the power of God.

When you pray, you see the power of God. It also helps you to remove your unsure choices.

6. Prayer helps you see God for who he is

You pray so that you know God and Jesus more. When he responses to your prayers, you get to know more about him by discovering his miracles and teachings.

7. Prayer helps you receive guidance from God.

We need help from God sometimes. When you pray, you ask information about the decisions you make everyday. This is done by praying to God and focusing on him.

8. Prayer aids you against temptations.

Finally. prayer can be your shield for temptation. When you pray, you are using a very strong weapon to help you fight temptations and the devil.

I learned that you always need to pray to communicate with God and to know more about him and Jesus. Also God will not always answer your prayers. he might answer with a "NO", "YES" or "WAIT"

Unit 3 summarization

Lesson 1: Bright Future

"I will bless you with a future filled with hope-a future of success, not suffering' - Jeremiah 29:11

Pessimistic thoughts: These are the thoughts of the people who always think negative thoughts about things they do or the things they have

Optimistic thoughts: These are the thoughts of the people who think the good in the things they do or the things they have because they believe that God is with them

My Pessimistic thoughts:
1. I am really fat because I eat a lot,
2. I fail at tests because i don't study
3. I get scolded a lot because I am bad tempered
My Optimistic thoughts:
1. I will eat less and exercise a lot
2. I will study harder so I can get good grades
3. I will try to cool down if someone is making me angry

To have my bright future I always need to think optimistic.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lesson 2: Roadblocks

"Such a large crowd of witnesses is all around us! So we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially the sin that just won't let go. And we must be determined to run the race that is ahead of us."- Hebrews 12:1

We always need to be cautious of the roadblocks that are in your way. Roadblocks are problems or things that get in your way to stop you from having a good life. Some of your roadblocks might be money, people, abilities, circumstances and your attitudes. But to jump over these roadblocks, just like the people who do hurdle jumping, you need to have God with you. God will help you jump over the roadblock in your way and another roadblock will be in your way. But while you have God with you, you can jump over the roadblocks and have a happier life.

My roadblocks:
One of my roadblocks are gadgets. What I am trying to achieve is good grades so I can have a good job. I consider these as roadblocks because I always put my hands and eyes on my gadgets before I study. What I need to do to overcome my roadblock is to not use them regularly but just use them when I need them and when I have free time.

Another one of my roadblocks is self control. What I am trying to achieve is a healthy body. This is a roadblock because I cannot control myself to eat more and more and more food. What I need to do to have a healthy body is to exercise regularly and to eat less food.

Another one of my roadblocks are distractions like toys, playmates and computer games. What I want to achieve are good grades. This is one of my roadblocks because it keeps me from being focused on what I'm doing. For example, if I am doing something on my computer, my computer games keep tempting me to get out of what I am doing for my studies and play them all day. What I need to do to help me focus is to think of what will happen if I played with my playmates, played my computer games and played with my toys. Will the result be good or will it be bad?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lesson 3: Cause and Effect

Effect: I got good graded and I moved to grade 5

What I learned:
I learned that you should always be careful of what you do because what you are doing might have a bad effect.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lesson 4: Choose wisely

'If any of you need wisdom, you should ask God, and it will be given to you. God is generous and won't correct you for asking' - James 1:5

What I chose: I chose to not study for my exams because I said that I already knew it

What happened: I woke up early and got there just in time for my class

What I chose: I chose to practice hard for my swimming competition
What happened: I won medals and I got a prize

What I chose: I chose to bully my classmate and not make friends with her
What happened: My class adviser found out, told my mom and my mom scolded me

I learned that you should always be careful of what you choose because the choices you make might be bad for you or the other people around you.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lesson 5: Be careful of detours

"Please help me learn the right thing, and I will be honest and fair in my own kingdom" - Psalm: 101:2

Detours are ways or paths that might distract you on what you are doing.

What I was doing: I was walking with my mom in the supermarket
Detour: I saw a bunch of candies and let go of my mom's hand
Consequence: I got lost and needed to find her

What I was doing: I was playing with my cousins
Detour: I wanted to trip one of my cousins because I thought it was going to be funny
Consequence: She cried, she told my mom and my mom scolded me

What I was doing: I was practicing our dance for the around the world dances
Detour: I decided to stop practicing because I saw my friends playing

Scripture: (Psalm 27:1)

Problem: When I do the wrong things
Explanation: I do wrong things because the devil is always making me obey him instead of God
Scripture: (Proverbs 3:11-12)

I learned that you should always follow God and obey him so that you don't get hurt by the devil
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Lesson 7: Excited for Jesus' return

"But as he went up, they kept looking up into the sky. Suddenly two men dressed in white clothes were standing beside them. They said: 'Why are you men from Galilee standing here and looking up into the sky? Jesus has been taken to heaven, but he will come back, in the same way that you have seen him go'" - Acts 1:10-11

The best thing about everyone's future is the coming of Christ. But, you also need to prepare for the coming of Christ.

* There will be wars

* There will be people who claim they are Christ

* There will be famine

* There will be earthquakes and storms

* There will be persecutions

* And believers will be hated

So if Jesus is coming, why are there a lot of horrible stuff happening?

* Jesus will come so that he can fix everything

* He will come because he will defeat the devil once and for all

* Jesus will come to rescue us

* He will come so that we can give him all the power that he deserves

* Jesus will come because he wants us to be with him forever

I learned that Jesus will always be with you even though you can't see or touch him
