Fun land Fun

Have you ever gone to a fun land? For me a fun land is family. You go to a fun land to spend time with your loved ones. My last trip to a fun land was when my relatives went to Universal Studios Los Angeles, also known as, USLA. We traveled to USLA by car with my cousins, uncles and my aunts.

When we got there I was so ecstatic. We first rode on a tram ride where actors and actresses acted out scenes in the movies. In some of the scenes, I felt like I wanted to dance. Sometimes I felt quite scared because of the loud gun sounds. The best part of the whole tram ride was when we rode the King Kong 3Dx ride. We went in a dark tunnel where the scene was a forest. I suddenly felt like the tram was rocking back and forth. Then we heard a loud roar like a dinosaur. It was King Kong! He was fighting a T-Rex in his home forest. The dinosaur wanted to eat us but King Kong was preventing him. When the King Kong 3Dx ride was over, the driver of the tram took us back to home base!

After that, we went to the Transformers ride. This ride included a car of Optimus prime, a robot from the movie Transformers, a lot of movie screens with 3d and smoke effects. When the ride was over, we passed by a Transformers shop selling all kinds of Transformers stuff. I bought a hat for my dad.

Now, are you ready to get wet? That’s when it’s time to ride the Jurassic park water ride! The highlight of the ride was when we got to go into a dark cave with a lot of pretend dinosaurs; a T-Rex and a big slide when you go pass the T-Rex. We got soaking wet after this ride!

After the rides, we all got hungry and went to the food bars. We munched on some spaghetti, coke, ice cream and chicken wings! After getting our tummies full, we met some Hollywood characters. We met Marilyn Monroe, Lisa Simpson, Bart Simpson and many more. I also asked for their autograph. I felt so delighted of getting their autograph because you don’t get autographs every once and a while.

After we met the characters, we went to our final ride. This was the last battle! I rode the Mummy ride with my 2 cousins, my aunt and also my uncle. After riding, I felt very proud of conquering my fear. Why do I have a fear of this ride you ask? Because when I first had this ride, I was so scared that I got sick. I felt terrified because the ride was dark; it had big drops and a lot of scary things like mummies, scorpions, dark devils and king cobra snakes.  When I felt sick, I said that I will never ride it again. But I conquered my fear!

After the rides, we got some frozen yogurt and explored the rest of the fun land. After the tiring day, we all headed back home. It was a really fun day for me. So, what is a fun land for you?

Revising Sentences

Jenny brushed Pegasus down and threw a saddle blanket and pad over his back before she went to get his saddle from the tack room. By the time she returned, he had reached around, pulled the pad, blanket off and dropped them on the sawdust floor. "Oh, you're going to be like that," she scolded as Jenny picked them up and brushed them off. But Pegasus wasn't done, he kicked over the trash can that was directly behind him.

Quilts are Beautiful bedspreads, they are made by sewing together many types of cloth patches. Old shirts, dresses and other types of colorful clothing are good material for patches. Some people even go to used fabric stores to buy the fabric for these patches. In the past,  neighbors, friends and relatives give one another scraps of clothing to make the quilts. So for each scrap, there is an interesting story about it's owner.

The hungry ants

One summer morning, in a park there were 3 hungry ants. One is named Fred, the 2nd is Bob and the 3rd is Tom. One day while they were playing hide and seek on the grassy lawn, they saw some food on a picnic table. “Look guys, there’s food on that table. Come let us climb up.” Bob said looking very excited. “Okay! Come on, I’m so hungry.” said Fred ready to eat the snacks.

They quickly ran to the picnic table, climbed up and munched on the French fries that Bob was holding. “Yummy! These fries can last a whole month for the three of us!” Tom said happily munching on the fries. After a few hours, the family that brought the picnic came to the table. “Oh no! There are ants on the table!” said a girl who saw the ants. “Let’s get out of here ants!” Bob said taking the bread that he was munching.

The whole family started slamming the picnic table to kill the ants. Luckily, they managed to escape before they got killed. “Phew! Good thing we ran as fast as we can.” Fred said wiping off his sweat from running. “You can say that again. But next time we should just ask them for food.” said tom.

What I learned: You should ask for stuff that you don’t own because when you steal, you can end up in great danger.

"Can I have a dog, please?"

"Can I have a dog, please?" This is the same question I ask you over and over again. I really want a dog. Why you ask? I want someone to play with me everyday. I want a dog that is a small breed so that it will not take up too much space in our house.
This is the kind of dog I would want to have a, Bichon frise

When you buy me a dog I promise I will keep a close watch on it. I want a dog so that there is someone who will watch me at night from strangers and burglars coming in our house. People with dogs are always happy when they are getting them and they take great care of them too. I have been watching dog performers ever since. And when watching them I always think of what would happen if I bought a dog. When you buy me a dog I can teach her tricks to impress people. I promise that I will maintain a schedule on walking her up and down our street. I promise I will feed her 3 times a day after we eat. I will keep watching videos about how I can keep my dog alive, healthy and well fit until she is old.

I will take very good care of her and I will always play with her whenever I have free time. One last reason on why I want a dog is because I want to get thinner. When I walk her, sometimes we run and while running I can loose weight on it. So, every time I walk her, I can lose weight. Sometimes I see dogs that are big and small, some have long hair and some have short hair. But no matter how big or how small my dog is, I will always love her no matter what size it is.

How to brush your teeth

Here's how to brush your teeth. First take your toothbrush out and run the brush under cool water. Next spread toothpaste on the brush. Make sure you squeeze the tube from the bottom. After, gently brush your teeth for three minutes. Start with your front teeth and make your way to the back. Then spit the toothpaste into the sink and take a sip of water to rinse out your mouth. Finally rinse of the brush and put it away.

How to play hopscotch

Hopscotch is a fun activity for kids to play.  It started many years ago when soldiers played hopscotch to test their strength. But today it is played for fun. I will teach you how to play it.

You will need a piece of chalk, a flat stone or a beanbag, and players to play with.

1. Start of with a hopscotch design, it must have the numbers 1-10 on it, get creative. One design is like the one below.

Play Hopscotch Step 1.jpg
2. Next, decide who will go 1st or 2nd. You can have as many players as you want. The 1st person will have a small stone or a beanbag in his or her hand, he or she will throw it on one square. He or she must make sure that it does not go out of the line or he/she will lose a turn.

Play Hopscotch Step 2.jpg
3. After that, hop on the squares as shown. You must not fall out of the square or you will lose a turn.
Play Hopscotch Step 3.jpg
4. When you are hopping you must hop on the number of boxes with one foot or two feet. When you get to number 10, go back hopping and picking up the stone that you just threw.
Play Hopscotch Step 4.jpg
5. When the first person is done, give the stone to the next person. Then repeat steps  3, 4 and five until everybody is done.

The malunggay shake

The malunggay shake is made up of strawberrys, pineapples and malunggay. You will also need a blender, a bowl of ice and a teaspoon of sugar. To make this shake you will need to put all the ingredients into the blender, blend for 2 minutes and serve. The best way to serve this is to put it in a tall or small cup and simply place an umbrella or a cherry on top and you are ready to taste you work of art. This shake tastes sweet and a little bit sour but it tastes great. The best thing about this shake is that you can make this on any occassion. Make it on Christmas, Halloween, Valentines, Thanksgiving or New Year it will still taste the same and at the same time its healthy for you.

My first trip to U.S.A

My first trip to USA was a blast. I first went to Los Angeles. Then, the next day, we went to new york and stayed there for two days. After that we took a bus to Canada and stayed there for one week while mama went to cincinnati and stayed there for 5 days. While we were in Canada, we stayed in tita arlene's home and went to a lot of places. We went to downtown, the mall and we met ninang anne. While we were in ninang anne's house w met a new baby. her name was Martina. i played for hours and hours with her. I had fun with her because she had a lot of toys. After a few hours, we went home and slept. The day that I will never forget is when I went to ninang anne's house again and I slept there. The next day we went to a friend's house and picked her up. Then we went to the great wolf lodge and we swam there. I swam in the wave pool, the lazy pool, the Jacuzzi and we even went into the mammoth slide where we went in a tube and we sat down in a large tube filled with water. I really had a fun day.

Letter to game center

September 24, 2013

7904 Buenaventura St. San Dionisio,
Paranaque City, Philippines

Dear Sir or Madam:

Good morning. I am Abijah Kathryn Sta.Ana. I am turning 10 years old this year. I own an Ipad and I would like to request for a new game. I would like it to be educational but fun. The game I would like to have in the Ipad is an abacus game. In this game, I would like to learn how to use an abacus, learn and know the parts of it, know the numbers, practice on it and have a test on how to use it. I would like to call it Abacus club. I would like this game to be in my Ipad because I would like to memorize my multiplication tables and add , subtract, divide and multiply faster. I think that kids would like this because they would also like to learn math faster, easier and in a fun way. I would appreciate it if you could consider my proposal. Thank you and have a nice day.

                                                                                                                Sincerely yours,
                                                                                                                 Abby

My gymnastic lessons.

Have you ever done a cartwheel or maybe a split? Well you’re lucky because I haven’t, but I will learn soon enough because I enrolled in Club Gymnastica.

On my first day of gymnastic lessons, I woke up happy and excited. I ate my breakfast, washed my body and changed my clothes. Then my grandfather took my mom and I to Kapitolio Pasig. I immediately joined my class, warmed up  and learned  all kinds of gymnastic stunts like cartwheel, split, bridge etc. We also used all kinds of equipments like bars, beam, floor and trampoline. Finally I changed my clothes and we headed back home. I felt really happy for my 1st gymnastic lessons.

On the 2nd week we focused on floor exercise, trampoline and beam. I was nervous while walking on the beam because I thought I would fall.

On the 3rd week the coaches introduced the bars to us. I felt confident while we swung on the bars. We are like monkeys swinging from one tree to the other.

On the 4th week we continued to improve our cartwheel and handstand. I need to train harder to perfect these stunts. Aside from learning all of these stunts I also met new friends.

On the 5th week our coach introduced us to new stunts such as back roll and back bridge. They are easy to do because I didn't hurt myself and I listened to my coach while he was introducing it to us.

On the 6th-7th week we did the same stunts and used the same equipment. I can already do the handstand properly but my cartwheel still needs a little improvement.

On the 8th week we met new coaches because our old coach is absent. They introduced to us hand stand bridge. I felt a little unsure by this stunt because I'm not familiar with it.
